Learning Design Services

Do you want freedom to focus on your core service or business?

Do you need to capitalize on your knowledge, products, or services in new and profitable ways?

Many solo service professionals and smaller companies:

  • Realize that custom training offerings create additional revenue streams.
  • Need to evaluate existing training offerings because they aren’t getting the intended results.
  • Don’t want a “one size fits all” approach.
  • Don’t have the instructional design expertise to do it themselves.
  • Need business-savvy instructional design professionals.

With those needs in mind, my company can help:

  • Determine the types of training that will fit your business needs.
  • Design and develop offerings based on adult learning principles.
  • Train you or your team to maintain the finished product, protecting your investment.

We use a blended learning methodology. It allows for flexibility and meets a wide range of learning needs and styles. Blended learning:

  • Mixes methods to serve different learning types for better effectiveness, enthusiasm, and results.
  • Can provide opportunities for multiple revenue streams on the same topic.
  • Includes home study, small groups, large groups, and one-on-one environments.
  • Is a combination of media, such as instructor-led classroom, online, virtual classroom, and learning guides.
  • Realizes the value of creating content that adult learners can use right away.
  • Strives to create lasting change and confidence. This can be achieved through additional practice, coaching, mentoring, and informal learning.

We follow a three-phase methodology. Each phase can have multiple steps depending on your needs.

Phase 1: Pre-Instruction

The pre-instruction phase covers the necessary steps that must take place prior to creating and launching a learning event. It also provides a track for phases 2 and 3, making sure the finished product meets your vision.  It can include:

  • Establishing the overall vision of the finished product
  • Creating a project plan
  • Creating the right team to accomplish the vision
  • Surveying clients to ensure you are meeting their needs
  • Determining how to best market the course for maximum participation

Phase 2: Instruction

The instruction phase covers the course design, development, and launch. It can include:

  • Confirming learning objectives, training components, and how the course will ultimately be delivered
  • Creating storyboards
  • Creating a course sample (prototype)
  • Designing new content and/or adapting existing content
  • Developing the deliverables
  • Testing and launching the finished product
  • Creating surveys

Phase 3: Post-instruction

The post-instruction phase is just as important as phases 1 and 2. It helps you measure success and fine-tune the offering if necessary. It can also help you maintain that important relationship with your client to create future opportunities.  Post-instruction can include:

  • Reviewing surveys
  • Providing spaced follow-up with the learner
  • Creating additional opportunities for coaching, mentoring, and practice to cement what was learned in the course

Because client needs vary, this is a custom-priced service. Please email me at amy[at]amyfranko[dot]com so we can discuss your specific needs further.
