As a sales leader, Amy Franko built a successful and lucrative B2B sales career with global tech giants IBM and Lenovo. She then took a 180° pivot into entrepreneurship in 2007, launching a training company, Impact Instruction Group. She knows what it’s like to build a book of business and a Fortune 1000 client base from the bottom up. She has successfully navigated that steep curve, consistently selling 5-to-7 figure engagements with repeat business and loyal clients.
Known for her dynamic style and practical experience, Amy has worked with some of the world’s most recognizable brands. She is one of a few female keynote speakers specializing in sales training and leadership development programs that blend current research, fresh insights, and real-world examples. It’s about intentional action!
Her expertise is widely shared on social networks, and in respected publications such as Selling Power, TD Magazine, Training Industry, Training Magazine, and CLO Magazine. She has been interviewed on numerous high-profile sales and leadership podcasts, and featured in Entrepreneur, Forbes, and O Magazine.
As the oldest of five daughters, you could say that leadership (and sales) are in Amy’s DNA. She always knew that she would either build something or lead something.
A little-known fact… her first real leadership role was being elected president of her university sorority, where she led an organization of over 100 young women. That fueled her passion for leadership. Her first real sales job was an inside sales role for a computer retailer. She applied for the job cold on Monster, and it landed her in Columbus. That was the springboard launching her passion for sales (and meeting her future husband).
Amy is a Cleveland, Ohio native and University of Dayton graduate, with degrees in English and Communication. She resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Dave and their very energetic black lab, Roxy. In her spare time, she loves all things sports and fitness, enjoys travel, and usually has a stack of books she’s reading at once.

And they want to create consistent and scalable leadership development programs that are also sustainable. Board Service: Amy serves on the board of directors of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, where she has been responsible for leading the Council’s efforts in attracting, retaining, and developing executive board talent. She recently received the President’s Plaque, an award given to a board member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help forward the mission of Girl Scouting.
Organizational Memberships: Amy believes in life-long learning and is an active member with Association for Talent Development, National Speakers Association, and Women for Economic and Leadership Development. She’s also certified as a woman-owned business through Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
