As a sales leader, Amy Franko built a successful and lucrative B2B sales career with global tech giants IBM and Lenovo. She then took a pivot into entrepreneurship in 2007, launching Amy Franko Associates, with a specific focus on sales consultingsales training, and sales leadership excellence.

She has built her organization from the bottom up, from her very first client to today, with the hundreds of Fortune 1000 clients she has served over the years. She has created significant growth and success, consistently selling major engagements with repeat business and loyal clients.

Board Governance Experience

Amy serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, a Top 25 non-profit in the Columbus, Ohio region. With a membership of nearly 18,000 girls and adults, she’s committed to helping today’s girls develop into tomorrow’s leaders.

Under her leadership, the Council has launched a $16M transformational STEM workforce initiative that has received significant support from the business community. Amy was honored for this impact with the prestigious Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year Award at the 2024 Medical Mutual Pillar Awards for Community Service. The Pillar Awards recognize individuals, organizations, and businesses that bridge the gap between the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, making a significant difference in the community.

In previous board roles, she has been responsible for leading the Council’s efforts in attracting, retaining, and developing executive board talent. She also received the President’s Plaque, an award given to a board member who has gone above and beyond to forward the mission of Girl Scouting.

Amy was selected to participate in the prestigious Deloitte Board Ready Women program in 2023.

Other Little-Known Facts

As the oldest of five daughters, you could say that leadership (and sales) are in Amy’s DNA. She always knew that she would either build something or lead something. Her first significant leadership role was at 20 years old, elected president of her university sorority, where she led an organization of over 100 young women. That fueled her passion for leadership. Her first true sales job was an inside sales role for value-added reseller in the technology industry. She applied for the job cold, and that was the springboard launching her passion for sales (and meeting her future husband).

Amy is a Cleveland, Ohio native and University of Dayton graduate, with degrees in English and Communication. She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Dave and their very energetic black lab, Roxy. In her spare time, Amy loves all things sports and fitness, enjoys travel, and usually has a stack of books she’s reading at once.

Born and raised in Ohio, Amy Franko is a lifelong Buckeye fan. She is based in Columbus, but delivers sales training and sales consulting services across the country.
