MEET AMY FRANKO
Amy Franko is a strategic sales expert and keynote speaker. As a sales leader, Amy Franko built a successful and lucrative B2B sales career with global tech giants IBM and Lenovo. She then took a 180° pivot into entrepreneurship in 2007, launching a training company, Impact Instruction Group.
Since that time, the company brand offerings have evolved. It’s now known as Amy Franko Associates, with a specific focus on sales and leadership excellence.
What makes Amy Franko’s programs a standout? A unique combination of large enterprise B2B sales experience + entrepreneurial bootstrapping sales success + over a decade in learning and development.
She knows what it’s like to build a book of business and a Fortune 1000 client base from the bottom up. She has successfully navigated that steep curve, consistently selling major engagements with repeat business and loyal clients.
Known for her dynamic style and practical experience, Amy has worked with some of the world’s most recognizable brands. She is one of a few female sales and leadership keynote speakers that blend current research, fresh insights, and real-world examples.
Her expertise is widely shared on social networks, and in respected publications such as Top Sales World, Selling Power, TD Magazine, Training Industry, Training Magazine, Accounting Today, and CLO Magazine.
She has been interviewed on numerous high-profile sales and leadership podcasts. Her book, The Modern Seller, is an Amazon Best Seller and #1 New Release. It was named a top sales book by Top Sales World and a “highly recommended read” by Selling Power.
Amy serves as the President and Chair of the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland. With over 18,000 girls in 30 counties across Ohio, she’s committed to helping today’s girls develop into tomorrow’s leaders. In previous board roles, she has been responsible for leading the Council’s efforts in attracting, retaining, and developing executive board talent. She received the President’s Plaque, an award given to a board member who has gone above and beyond to forward the mission of Girl Scouting.
This fuels her passion for board service, and she is available as a private company board director or advisor.
Other organizational memberships include: Women Sales Pro, Association for Talent Development, National Speakers Association, and Women for Economic and Leadership Development. Amy Franko Associates is certified as a woman-owned business through Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
As the oldest of five daughters, you could say that leadership (and sales) are in Amy’s DNA. She always knew that she would either build something or lead something.
A little-known fact… her first real leadership role was being elected president of her university sorority, where she led an organization of over 100 young women. That fueled her passion for leadership. Her first real sales job was an inside sales role for a computer retailer. She applied for the job cold ,and that was the springboard launching her passion for sales (and meeting her future husband).
Amy is a Cleveland, Ohio native and University of Dayton graduate, with degrees in English and Communication. She now lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Dave and their very energetic black lab, Roxy. In her spare time, she loves all things sports and fitness, enjoys travel, and usually has a stack of books she’s reading at once.
“Our best work and impact in the world come from using our natural strengths.”
“The power of relationships has brought me here. Every success I’ve been part of has been because of her network.“
“If you consistently add value to others, you’ll create wild and rewarding success in your sales career and your leadership journey.”
“Passion for sales and leadership! They’re so intertwined… you create greater success in sales when you’re also willing to lead.”
“Leadership isn’t a title or a position. Leadership is a mindset, a choice, an example. Everyday we get the choice to lead, whether it’s ourselves or others.”
“No matter where you are in your leadership or life journey, you have the capacity to give back and pay it forward.”’
