As the calendar year draws to a close, many of us in sales find ourselves at a natural point of reflection. Whether you’re wrapping up your sales year or are midway through it, this is a powerful time to evaluate what’s working in your sales strategy and set the stage for even greater success in the new year.
To help with that process, last year I created a worksheet, “10 Impactful Questions to Jumpstart Your New Year,” designed to guide you through this reflection and planning. You can download it here.
Expand Your Thinking with These Fresh Questions
In addition to the questions in the worksheet, I wanted to share three additional prompts that come from my mastermind group, part of Alan Weiss‘s Growth Cycle. This small but mighty group of five or six professionals meets regularly, both in person and virtually, and has been a game-changer for my business and personal growth. If you don’t yet have a community like this, I highly encourage you to find one. Surrounding yourself with people who push, challenge, and inspire you can be transformative.
Here are the three questions to consider as you plan for next year:
- What value do I want to create in the next year?
Think about how you can deliver something truly impactful for your clients and your industry. - What is one thing I really want to accomplish, but it feels just out of reach?
Then, break it down: What’s the next step I can take to make that goal a reality? - How do I want my clients to perceive me in the marketplace?
Reflect on your personal brand and the experiences you create for your clients. Your answer here can uncover new opportunities to grow your book of business and deepen client relationships.
With the right mindset, tools, and support, you’re setting yourself up to finish this year strong and tackle the new one with confidence.
Don’t forget to download the worksheet now, and take your first step toward an extraordinary year!
